Trading floor of your heart.

About a year ago God showed me this concept in his word. I have not preached it and it came back to me as I was meditating this morning. Recently I used the scripture in Ezekiel 28 that talks about the king of Tyre and it reminded me about what God showed me. This prophecy about Tyre is a picture of what happened to satan when he was kicked out from Gods presence in heaven. Lets look at the scripture.
Ezekiel 28:2-5Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus says the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: By thy great wisdom and by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
As we read we see in this picture that satan had wisdom to trade and because he did that he became very rich and prideful. The enemy that is represented here by the king of Tyre is a master at trading and making himself rich. Today we have a trading floor where merchants would come and trade their goods. Think about the New York Stock Exchange. In biblical days the traders had to travel with their goods and sell it to the highest bidder. What we see in the natural is also true in the spiritual. There is a trading floor in the spiritual where the enemy wants to trade and make himself rich. For eons he has been after the souls of men. God has a commodity that satan wants. There is a trading floor where the enemy is trading for what you have.
We all are on this trading floor daily as we participate with God or the enemy. Daily we trade without knowing and understanding that the enemy of our souls is playing to win. This message is so important for us because if we know what his plan is we can change the way we live and begin to trade and invest in the eternal. You ask me how are we trading on this floor? We trade in the flesh or the spirit.
Gal 5:7-9 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
What is the commodity that is used in the spirit? Paul writes in the book of Romans that the wages of sin is death. The commodity that satan trades in is sin and everything that represents sin. If we give ourselves to the enemy we become his slaves or the slaves of sin. We trade on the floor of heaven with the wrong commodity.
Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Matt 15:18-20 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man:
The enemy trades in sin that comes from the heart of men that is un-regenerated. God trades from the heart of men that is regenerated. What is the commodity that God uses to trade? The gifts of God are eternal life and the commodity that God uses on the trading floor of heaven is eternal life and everything that represents eternal life.
Gal 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Lets look at where the trading floor is: The trading floor is the hearts of men. The enemy is after the hearts of people. We see all these things come from the heart of men.
Prov 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Prov 12:20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
Matt 12:23-25 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
From the heart comes the treasure or commodity that is used to trade. Can you see that the heart is a trading floor that satan wants to use to make himself rich. God also wants to trade on the trading floor of your heart. A clean heart is one that has a commodity that God can use to trade with on the trading floor. Look at what David prays.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
1 Tim 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
2 Tim 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
1 Pet 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
Your heart is the place where the enemy comes daily to see if he can trade and win. If you hold on to bitterness or un-forgiveness you have a commodity that he can use to make himself rich. When you remove the un-forgiveness he has no commodity to trade with. When you have peace or joy you have commodity for God to trade with. Can you see this?
What are you struggling with or what are you celebrating? It is all commodities for the trading floor of heaven. Get rid of bad investments and begin to make some good investments today. Trade with the commodity of grace and life.
