Feeding the multitude!

We feed the multitude!

Matt 14:15-21

We have read this scripture so many times and it has always blessed us to see how much compassion Jesus had on the people. He saw a need when the disciples saw a problem. A need is not always a problem depending on how you look at it.

Matt. 14:16 But Jesus said unto them, they need not depart; you give them something to eat.

The disciple’s problem was the people were hungry and needed to get food, Jesus’ solution was the disciples. They were the solution to the problem they were facing.  You are the solution to your problem. When you start facing the problem and start working at it the solution will come. The world is the problem, the families are the problem, the politics are the problem and you are the solution God chooses to resolve the problems with. Look at what you face in your life today and realize that the solution is you.

Their response to Jesus’ request is amazing. We only have five loaves and two fishes! Now we all know that it is impossible to feed that many people with that amount of bread and fishes. Most of us eat more than that and it was the lunch a little boy mother packed for him. That is enough for a little boy, not a crowd. Whoever packed that lunch never knew what potential those few loaves of bread and two fishes had. You only have a few things and it might only look like it is enough for you and not the crowd. Many people believe they don’t have what it takes to minister. You don’t know what potential you have until it gets into the masters hand. I only know a few scriptures and I only know how to pray for a few people and I don’t know if it is enough for the multitude. Give it to God and see what He can do with you.

Matt. 14:19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

I want you to see what happens here. Jesus took what they brought to Him and looked up, prayed or blessed it, and then broke it and gave it to the disciples. This is such a key to multiplication in our lives. You see the enemy always subtracts and divides. God always adds and multiplies. Of the increase of His government there is no end. In God everything always increases and it is called blessings. You are not blessed if you loose something. Blessing means to increase and multiply. So He broke it and gave it to the disciples. Imagine them looking at Jesus and seeing Him doing this and now He gives it to them and they have to turn around and face the crowd. One moment they were looking at the one with the solution and now they have to become the solution. It amazes me how we are always trying to run away from the uncomfortable places when miracles very seldom manifest in the comfortable places.

The miracle was in their hands. Look at it. The bread multiplied in their hands as they were giving it to the crowd. It started in the hands of Jesus but the real multiplication happened in their hands. God wants to start something and then give it to you to take to the crowds. The miracle needs to happen in your hands. God is not intimidated when we do miracles; no He is more than happy to share it with us. God was not uncomfortable with Jesus doing miracles because miracles are the way God reveals Himself and His glory through us. Don’t worry, when you take the glory to yourself God will stop using you!

They had the solution in their hands and they experienced the miracle as much as the people that received the bread and fishes. This was a natural multiplication but there is also a spiritual multiplication that happens. Read with me.

Mark 14:22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

1Cor. 10:16-17 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

Jesus does exactly the same thing here that He did when He multiplied the bread and fishes. I want to propose something. When he took the bread and fishes and prayed over it and broke it, it multiplied in the natural. What I want to propose is that when He took the bread as a symbol of His body and prayed over it and broke it and gave it to the disciples, a spiritual multiplication was happening. Where they fed the multitude they now took the spiritual bread all over the world and as they gave it, it multiplied and they spiritually fed the nations everywhere they went.

You see Jesus is the true bread from the Father and he was blessed and broken and given to us. As we go and share Him with the nations HE is multiplied in us and He is always enough to feed the spiritual hunger that the people has. He is the solution that we have. You don’t just know a few scriptures or just a small prayer. You have the bread of life that is ready to satisfy the nations. He is the desire of the nations. I those disciples just stood there and never turned around and started sharing what they had in their hands they would never experience the miracle of multiplication. If you stay home and never share you will never experience the miracle of multiplication.

This is a good word and we will do well if we heed to what Papa is saying. My spirit is jumping inside of me if I can say that. Turn with me this day and face the world and watch how He will multiply in your life.
